5 London Fashion Week Outfits to Wear this Weekend.
Even though London Fashion Week 2023 ended quicker than an RAF flypast, that didn’t mean there wasn’t a lot to see.
A few styles kept popping up during this year’s London Fashion Week: the bomber jacket, leather motocross, wide-leg jeans, & oversized shapes. Most fashion editors, stylists, or buyers stick to basic essentials like jeans or black tailored pants as a uniform, spicing up their looks with statement jewelry and/or seasonally appropriate accent pieces. The 5 outfits presented here are sure to provide you with some much-needed new ideas for the next weekend.
Top 5 Outfits to Try This Weekend
Evening gowns are no longer restricted to when theatergoers are in attendance. This season’s fashion icons have been spotted twirling in their most extravagant ensembles, which often feature exaggerated proportions, multiple layers of frills, puffy sleeves, and tiers of tulle. Outside of the Huishan Zhang presentation, an attendee was spotted in a voluminous holographic number, which caught our attention as one of the night’s most memorable outfits. No event is too low-key for a floor-length gown these days, and we welcome any opportunity to switch things up with a glittering maxi dress.
The Camel Coat
This season marked the first-ever Tove fashion presentation, and Caroline Issa was on hand to showcase the brand’s exquisite designs. Neither the camel coat, which hits just above the ankle, nor the chocolate-ruched bodysuit, which creates the appearance of a wrap around the body, can make up our minds.
For months now, we have been warning you that leather motocross jackets are poised to make a comeback; this ensemble serves as a primer on how to wear one when it finally does. Let your jacket do the talking by keeping the rest of your outfit basic in black with black slacks, black loafers, and a leather shoulder bag.
Alexa Chung carried a JW Anderson frog clutch and wore lime green strappy shoes for London Fashion Week in February. As long as you ignore the frog, this is a classic ensemble that will go with a wide variety of your existing pieces. Add a fun graphic T-shirt to your more professional staples, like this grey wool coat & jersey skirt.
Bomber Leather Jacket
At London Fashion Week, we saw a lot of different bomber jackets, and our favorite one was Bettina Looney’s huge leather version. We enjoyed how she used it to tone down the glitz of an otherwise extremely “evening” ensemble. Our go-to outfit for dinner lately has been a leather bomber jacket paired with a black slip dress.
Whether you’re getting ready for dinner or a bottomless brunch, putting together an outfit may be a hassle. For your convenience, we have compiled looks from London Fashion Week 2023. Putting together an ensemble for the weekend has never been easier, with options ranging from bright colors and designs to more subdued tones paired with attention-grabbing accessories.
